Does Pivah bill for Administration Tasks?
Yes and No.
When we first start with a client, we usually need to build up some rapport and develop trust. This takes time and doesn't happen overnight.
However at some point in our working relationship, we usually end up speaking regally (if not daily) and doing more long term projects which include, reports, meetings, and phone calls. It is at this point that we need explain that these take time, and time is money.
When we do projects is for a fixed fee, then we need to schedule our time (and yours) so that we come in on time... and generate some income. If we go over-schedule, we both lose.
Once we're both discussing this --- and are in agreement --- when you call requesting another meeting/report/conference call, we will remind you that this will be factored into the final invoice.
Note: Every company has admin expenses. Given that every client/project requires a different amount of revisions and communication, we believe it to be unethical to, do like most companies and side step this thorny issue by increasing our charges for the production and burying the admin costs inside the production costs.
We've encountered clients who genuinely believe that non-media production tasks should not billable, i.e. that we should take the hit for visiting their offices, creating reports, giving free advice and so forth.
While, managing all the associated ‘non-media-production’ costs can be a tricky area. We simply could not stay in business if we are creating your reports, sending emails to your staff and venders, facilitating training workshops, participating in your conference calls, driving to your offices, and doing a large percent of your project planning for free.
This is why, during your project with Pivah, we keep everything transparent. We do this by sending our clients line-item invoices for the time we have spent to date. This helps will builds trust while establishing our commitment to your project.
